Rather than employing dial enamelling, a technique in which Patek Philippe specializes, the maison developed a novel method for the Gondolo Serata “Zebra”. A sapphire crystal dial is initially carved and subsequently lacquered black on both sides. The zebra pattern is subsequently realized by black metallization and white varnish on the underside of the sapphire crystal dial. The zebra and stripe design background exudes contemporary vitality, reminiscent of the ethereal dials found in Patek Philippe’s Rare Handcrafts series.

The Gondolo Serata “Zebra” features 94 brilliant-cut spessartites grouped in a dual color gradient. Cognac hues on the upper and lower sections of the casing seamlessly blend into a vibrant gradient of orange tints around the sides, reminiscent of a savannah sunset. This specific gemset configuration enhances the rose gold case and emphasizes its contoured, curved silhouette.
