ASICS Expands Its Everyday Footwear Lineup With the New GEL-KINETIC FR
Drawing from ASICS' early-2000s running archive, the new GEL-KINETIC FR combines a streamlined profile with updated cushioning technology. The silhouette arrives in two contrasting colorways.
Archival Running Influences Meet a Modern Profile
The GEL-KINETIC FR is designed as a progressive everyday sneaker with clear references to ASICS' early-2000s running footwear. Its lightweight construction sits closer to the foot for a more fluid profile, while a reworked synthetic quarter panel gives the layered technical upper a cleaner finish.
For its first release, ASICS offers the silhouette in two color combinations: "Cocoa
Powder/Champagne" and "Black/Pure Silver."
Comfort Gets a Technical Update
Underfoot, the GEL-KINETIC FR features an evolved cushioning system inspired by the GEL-KINETIC 2.0. Scutoid GEL pods are positioned beneath the heel for added comfort, while a thicker sock liner provides additional cushioning at the forefoot and supports smoother transitions through each step.
Both colorways are scheduled to release on August 21 through ASICS. Pricing has not yet been announced.
