Following the loss of her Malibu residence in a wildfire, American socialite Paris Hilton has acquired a Beverly Park estate for US$63 million from a company owned by the wife of Chinese billionaire Xu Hang.

As reported by People magazine, Hilton's recently obtained estate encompasses 30,500 square feet (2,834 square meters) and features 12 bedrooms and 20 bathrooms. The estate includes luxurious amenities, including a five-hole golf course, a resort-style pool with waterslides, a sports court, a skate park, a wine cellar, a movie theater, a two-story library, and an impressive entryway with twin staircases. A guesthouse is also located on the premises.
The residence was initially constructed by American actor Mark Wahlberg and his spouse about 2014. In February 2023, the couple sold the property for $55 million, marking the biggest residential transaction in Southern California for that year. Xu acquired the estate, and his wife's firm reintroduced it to the market in March 2024 with a listing price of US$68 million, as reported by the real estate listings platform Mansion Global.
Between January 7 and 31, a succession of devastating wildfires devastated sections of the Los Angeles metropolitan area and San Diego County, incinerating over 37,000 acres, resulting in 30 fatalities, and obliterating more than 16,000 structures, as reported by the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection.
Hilton announced on Instagram that she learned her Malibu residence had been obliterated in the Los Angeles wildfires while viewing live television footage on January 9. “Devastated beyond expression,” she wrote. "Witnessing our home in Malibu engulfed in flames on live television while seated with my family is an experience no one should endure."
She characterized the Malibu property as the location where her son Phoenix took his initial steps and where she and her husband, American author and venture entrepreneur Carter Reum, aspired to raise their daughter London and create enduring memories.
Hilton additionally revealed that Phoenix had articulated a wish to pursue a career as a fireman after observing the destruction caused by the wildfires.
At 45, Hilton is the great-granddaughter of Conrad Hilton, the founder of Hilton Hotels. She attained tabloid notoriety in the late 1990s as a prominent figure in New York's social milieu, commenced modeling in 2000, and was designated "New York's preeminent It Girl" in 2001.
Her work encompasses reality television, documentaries, music, literature, podcasts, and acting, with notable credits including the films "House of Wax" and "Repo! The Genetic Opera."
She wed Reum in 2021. The couple's two offspring were conceived through surrogacy.
Xu, 63, is the co-founder of Shenzhen Mindray Bio-Medical Electronics, a prominent Chinese supplier of medical equipment, as reported by Forbes. He is the proprietor of Parkland Group, a prominent real estate developer recognized for the One Shenzhen Bay tower complex.
Forbes assessed his net worth at US$7.8 billion as of June 22, positioning him as the 34th wealthiest individual in China. Wahlberg, 54, is recognized for his performances in films including "Planet of the Apes," "The Departed," "The Italian Job," "Ted," and the "Transformers" franchise.
