For certain watch brands, Mil-Spec, an abbreviation for Military Specification, influences the look of a timepiece dedicated to military-grade equipment. Conversely, for a select few, the description transcends its superficial look and delves into its essence.

Luminox, renowned for its associations with elite rescue teams, professional divers, and rough adventurers, enters this category with the new Mil-Spec 3350 Series – 3359.SET. The initiative is supported by Pierrick Marcoux, product director at Luminox Group. “Attaining technical MIL-SPEC compliance entails not only performance but also a dedication to excellence in every technical component and material utilized.” This new colorway offers a novel alternative to a thoroughly proven timepiece.
Luminox Introduces Mil-Spec for Durable Expeditions The Luminox team designed a timepiece that adheres to the rigorous technical norms of compliance class MIL-PRF-46374G TYPE III CLASS 1. The foundation of the watch consists of Luminox’s patented CARBONOX™+ case (46mm diameter and 300m water resistant) combined with a Grade 2 titanium bezel. The high-performance carbon long bar composite provides remarkable rigidity and durability to the casing, while being six and three times lighter than stainless steel and titanium, respectively.
Recognizing the necessity of precision and accuracy in military and rescue activities, Luminox chose the quartz ETA F06.412 to power the Mil-Spec 3350 Series – 3359.SET. In addition to its improved battery life, HeavyDrive and PreciDrive innovations guarantee optimal operational performance. The previous method provides a counter-impulse upon contact or shock to prevent the watch hands from unintentionally skipping and jeopardizing accuracy. In contrast, the latter guarantees a yearly precision of ±10 seconds with a thermocompensated unit that modulates the motor pulses according to variations in ambient and water temperature.

Luminox Introduces Mil-Spec for Durable Expeditions Luminox's notable innovation, the self-luminous Luminox Light Technology (LLT), ensures uninterrupted nighttime visibility for a duration of up to 10 years. The contrasting colors of the watch hands and hour indices mitigate confusion and serve as a guiding feature in Luminox's exploration of durable, mission-capable performance timepieces.
