The debut of the first Hublot Big Bang in 2005 generated significant excitement within the watch industry due to its innovative approach. Current design codes were thoroughly revised. The regulations were revised. The watch's composite materials and stratified design unveiled a realm of limitless potential.

The Square Bang is the third and most recent iteration of the Big Bang collection, following the rounder Big Bang and the tonneau-shaped Spirit of Big Bang. The Square Bang, introduced in 2022, formerly appeared solely in its chronograph version until now, as a two-hander with a tourbillon complication. Additionally, there are other innovations, including a three-dimensional carbon composite case with vertically and horizontally woven lines, along with four-sided (square and rectangular) calibre bridges observable through the skeletal design.

“To date, innovations in square watches have been relatively modest, typically limited to the case design.” With the Square Bang Tourbillon 4-Day Power Reserve, we aimed to culminate the endeavor by creating a movement with a completely right-angled construction. The bridges are linear, immaculate, and precise, seemingly safeguarding a mechanism that consistently operates in harmony with the flawless cycle of the tourbillon, barrel, and power reserve. “The fusion is complete,” states Hublot CEO Julien Tornare.

The components of the manual winding calibre MHUB6023 are elegantly arranged, giving the impression of levitation in a grid-like formation. The crown for winding and time setting is located at three o’clock, the tourbillon at six o’clock, the power reserve indicator at nine o’clock, and the main barrel at twelve o’clock, arranged in a clockwise manner. The watch's designation indicates that its prolonged four-day power reserve significantly exceeds industry norms. Due to the prevalence of personal electronics and devices, the tourbillon's silicon escapement is resistant to magnetic interference.

Contrastingly, the Hublot Big Bang Unico Summer 2025 features an exuberant color pallet that exemplifies Hublot's proficiency in vibrant ceramics. The timepiece, introduced at the Hublot Summer event, a staple on the brand's calendar since 2017, is inspired by Mediterranean locales, making it an ideal summer watch companion. This year's version occurs on the bustling island of Mykonos, where aspiring Greek deities gather to indulge in its lively nightlife, exquisite beaches, and cosmopolitan ambiance with elegance.

Considering this, the artisans at Hublot’s Nyon facility conceived the hues of orange, blue, and white that reminiscent of Mykonos’ golden sunsets, its expansive Aegean Sea, and its beaches. A microblasted orange ceramic case is paired with a sky-blue ceramic bezel, highlighted by white from the watch’s midcase and lined rubber straps. Since Hublot unveiled its “One-Click” strap changing technology, the process of swapping straps has become very simple, especially useful for coordinating straps with specific occasions or moods. The included rubber straps, available in sky blue, dark blue, or orange-white stripes, transition seamlessly from ocean dips to poolside lounging to late-night festivities in only seconds.
