The worldwide brand ambassador discusses her affection for the French maison, her beauty regimen, and her forthcoming film project.
It is uncommon for an actress's inaugural performance to propel her into international fame, although this was the circumstance for Hoyeon. Her acting prowess was unveiled to the world in 2021, when her depiction of Sae-byeok's heartbreaking narrative in Netflix's acclaimed series Squid Game captivated people globally. Prior to her ascent to prominence, the South Korean actress was a recognized model, collaborating with numerous luxury brands such as Fendi, Marc Jacobs, and Louis Vuitton.
Hoyeon's association with the latter is longstanding; she debuted at Paris Fashion Week with Louis Vuitton and solely participated in the French maison's Spring 2017 Ready-to-Wear show. Since that time, she has served as the global ambassador for the brand, leading significant campaigns and becoming a lasting muse for the current artistic director of women's collections, Nicolas Ghesquière.
In commemoration of Louis Vuitton’s 2026 cruise collection, Hoyeon visited the city of Avignon to experience Ghesquière’s latest designs. For the event, the model selected an all-white two-piece outfit with a structured peplum top and coordinating capri pants. She enhanced the elegant appearance with white lace-up heels and a stylish, two-tone purse in black and white, introducing a contrast and sophistication to the monochrome ensemble.
