Introducing the Grand Sport and Grand Sport X, each equipped with a 6.7-liter naturally aspirated V-8 producing 535 horsepower.

Chevrolet has officially reintroduced the legendary Grand Sport label for the 2027 model year, unveiling two new variants in the C8 Corvette lineup. Positioned between the base Stingray and the track-oriented Z06, the rear-wheel-drive Grand Sport and the all-wheel-drive Grand Sport X are equipped with broader bodywork, enhanced suspension, and larger brakes derived from the Z06 and ZR1 variants. The core of both new Corvettes features the introduction of a next-generation 6.7-liter LS6 V-8 engine. This naturally aspirated small-block, which replaces the existing LT2, is equipped with performance components such as a tunnel ram intake, forged internals, and a 13:1 compression ratio. The LS6 generates 535 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque, establishing it as the most torque-dense naturally aspirated V-8 in the model's history. Power is transmitted solely via an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox.

The Grand Sport X model serves as a direct successor to the Corvette E-Ray. It integrates the new LS6 V-8 with the front-axle electric motor and battery pack from the ZR1X, resulting in a total combined output of an impressive 721 horsepower. The GSX is equipped with standard carbon-ceramic brakes and unique track modes, rendering it an exceptional all-weather performer. The official cost has not been completely disclosed; however, the rear-drive Grand Sport is anticipated to commence below $100,000 USD.
