Drawing from the brand’s “Neue Klasse” philosophy, the upcoming sedan signals a new era of design and technology ahead of production beginning in July 2026.

BMW is officially redefining luxury with the introduction of the new 7-series, a flagship sedan that connects historic prestige with the avant-garde "Neue Klasse" design. The updated BMW 7-Series LCI exterior features a "monolithic" design language that emphasises sleek surfaces and an authoritative presence. The most notable aspect is the revised front fascia, which includes a newly sculpted, profound "valley" in the bumper designed to accommodate the BMW roundel. This sculptural recess creates a continuous, embedded transition from the hood, highlighting a more cohesive and aerodynamic appearance. Flanking the substantial “Iconic Glow” kidney grille are the new crystal headlights, which incorporate Swarovski glass parts; this is the inaugural integration of this opulent feature into BMW's front design.

The interior of the 7-series emphasises digital luxury. The focal point for rear passengers is the BMW Theatre Screen – a 31.3-inch, 8K panoramic display that retracts from the headliner, transforming the cabin into a private mobile cinema. Upon deployment, the driver receives a digital rearview, providing an unobstructed vision of the rear, free from the obstruction of the large display. The cockpit for the driver is anchored by a reengineered steering wheel, characterised by a simple form and tactile touch controls that interact with the new Panoramic iDrive system. BMW created an expansive windshield-mounted heads-up display (HUD) and eliminated the traditional gauge cluster, resulting in the introduction of a novel vertical-spoked design. Finally, the digital controls for every passengers are located on their armrest, ensuring optimal convenience of control.
