TAG Heuer has recently been engaging in enjoyable activities with the Carrera Chronograph Glassbox. The blue, panda, reverse panda, and purple variants have each introduced a distinct aesthetic. Recently, TAG Heuer introduced teal green and black dials to the new-generation 41mm models, and the latest addition takes a different approach. Introducing the Carrera Chronograph Limited Edition: a European-market release featuring a warm sand-colored dial, complemented by darker chronograph registers, in lieu of the typical blue, black, or silver hues.

The timepiece is constructed on the 39mm Carrera Chronograph Glassbox platform, incorporating the prominently domed sapphire crystal reminiscent of the curved acrylic crystals used in early Carrera models, which led to the designation "Glassbox. The crystal's distinction is further enhanced by the lack of a bezel. The Carrera Chronograph Limited Edition features a 39mm x 13.9mm stainless steel case, characterized by a combination of brushed and polished finishes, and is equipped with a steel crown and round pump-style chronograph pushers. A sapphire caseback exposes the movement, and the entire assembly is water-resistant to a depth of 100 meters.

TAG Heuer has opted for a beautifully textured sand-hued dial, complemented by anthracite azuré chronograph subdials and a corresponding anthracite tachymeter flange. Rhodium-plated applied markers and hands are prominently visible against the dial, with the date display positioned at six o’clock. The tricompax configuration features counters positioned at three and nine o’clock, with the running seconds indicator located at six o’clock, rendered in silver. The beige lacquered hands on the chronograph registers correspond with the dial's hue, while the anthracite flange and chronograph counters provide a stark contrast to the lighter backdrop.

The Carrera Chronograph Limited Edition is powered by the TH20-00 automated chronograph movement. An advancement of the Heuer 02, the proprietary automatic integrated chronograph employs a column wheel and vertical clutch mechanism. This self-winding mechanism operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a power reserve of approximately 80 hours. The timepiece is affixed to a beige calfskin strap featuring perforations typically linked to racing straps. It is fastened with a steel folding clasp featuring dual safety push-buttons and an etched TAG Heuer emblem. The TAG Heuer Carrera Chronograph Limited Edition is restricted to 500 units for the European market and is priced at EUR 7,900. For additional information, kindly visit tagheuer.com.
