Timex has formally augmented its premium, limited-edition Atelier collection with the launch of its inaugural chronograph models: the Chronograph Automatic M1a Ti and the Chronograph Quartz M1q. Conceived under the guidance of Timex Group Chief Creative Director Giorgio Galli, the new Atelier chronographs signify a calculated transition from the brand’s cost-effective legacy to the luxury enthusiast sector.

The Chronograph Automatic M1a Ti showcases a lightweight 42mm skeletonized titanium case encasing a black IP-coated stainless steel main case. The subdued, matte black reverse-panda dial is encircled by a fixed tachymeter bezel and safeguarded by a double-domed sapphire crystal featuring a triple-layer anti-reflective coating. The watch features a transparent exhibition caseback and is driven by the Swiss-made Landeron L72 automatic chronograph movement, functioning at 4Hz and offering a 43-hour power reserve. The M1a Ti is water-resistant up to 50 meters, priced at $2,100 USD with a premium NBR synthetic rubber strap and $2,250 USD with a matching titanium bracelet that has an innovative tool-less resizing system.

The Chronograph Quartz M1q offers a more accessible option within the Atelier collection, featuring the same aesthetic precision in a slightly reduced 40mm skeletonized stainless steel case. In contrast to the flat matte finish of its automatic counterpart, the M1q features a vibrant, precision-engraved black guilloché dial with a date window located at 6 o’clock. It is powered by a meticulously crafted Swiss-made Ronda 5021 movement.D quartz movement providing a durable 54-month battery lifespan. The quartz type significantly enhances water resistance to an impressive 100 meters. The Chronograph Quartz M1q is priced at $700 USD with an NBR rubber strap and $800 USD with a self-adjustable stainless steel bracelet, providing watch collectors with a sophisticated, everyday chronograph.
Both timepieces are now available for purchase on the official Timex website, along with further models from the Atelier range.
