The Vans Authentic Premium “Charms” Pack Reimagines Chanel’s La Habana Bag

Three sequin-covered skate classics pay homage to the La Habana bag.

As Vans approaches its significant 60th anniversary in 2026, the company is transitioning towards high-fashion narrative with the new Vans Authentic Premium “Charms” collection. The release draws direct inspiration from the coveted Chanel La Habana bag from the 2016/17 collection, skilfully merging luxury brand elements with traditional skate culture.

The collection features three unique colourways: olive green, pristine white, and a red, white, and blue variant that most closely resembles the original Chanel design. Each pair features striped sequin embellishments along the lateral sides and employs durable canvas for the upper construction. Vans has incorporated artistic paint splatters on the toe boxes and a pre-distressed finish on the midsoles to embrace a personalised, DIY aesthetic. The connection to the La Habana bag is reinforced in the heel, where metal bolts replicate the bag's hardware.

The shoes embody the 'Charms' theme, showcasing vivid paracord laces and a removable metal keychain adorned with dice, globes and various quirky ornaments. This Vans Authentic Premium “Charms” trio will be accompanied by a collection of Old Skool Premium models scheduled for release in February. Available Now at Vans.
