An independent watch brand established by Mark Cho and Elliot Hammer of The Armoury.

Temporal Works, the newly founded watch brand by Mark Cho and Elliot Hammer, debuts with the Series A, a collection that embodies their tenets of clarity, wearability, and timeless elegance. The team, acknowledged for their partnerships through The Armoury, sought to create an unprecedented watch, reassessing every design decision from foundational ideas. Cho expresses the aim of crafting a timepiece "as meticulously designed and effortlessly wearable as a flawlessly tailored navy blazer," while Hammer emphasises that every element must warrant its presence, from dial graphics to case measurements. To achieve the requisite delicacy, production was entrusted to Japanese artisans, whose precise craftsmanship enhances the design's subtleties.
The centrepiece of Temporal Works’s Series A is its custom casing, a 37mm stainless steel monobloc inspired by the sophisticated, avant-garde styles of the 1960s and 1970s. This design prioritises the wearing experience, including a wrist-conforming ergonomic contour and precisely engineered geometry. The finish is meticulously crafted, demonstrating Zaratsu polishing for distortion-free mirror surfaces that accentuate the case's size and architectural style. The case is augmented by Temporal Works’ exclusive Nib hands, which draw inspiration from fountain pen nibs and include three facets—two polished and one matte—to boost legibility and provide a distinctive visual character.

Available with two unique dial designs, the first model features a traditional big sector design. This model is offered in rich navy or deep black, including a toothed minute track and a quarter-brushed finish that alters with the light's movement across the dial. The second option features a vibrant Fortune Dial, crafted with glossy red lacquer and deliberately devoid of any embellishments or marks for a compelling visual effect. The timepiece is accompanied with a special leather strap meticulously crafted by Jean Rousseau, as well as an optional tailored Staib steel-mesh bracelet, guaranteeing visual coherence and easy everyday use.
The Sellita SW210-1, a dependable Swiss manual winding movement, powers the three-hand clock, selected for its precision, maintainability, and established longevity. The movement features a power reserve of 42 hours and operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour. All varieties of the Series A watch are now available for purchase at a price of $2,500 USD through The Armoury’s online store and its physical locations in Hong Kong and New York City.
