Seiko introduces a new limited-edition Presage Classic timepiece, named “Shiracha,” honoring Japanese aesthetics and traditional workmanship.
The reference features a case diameter of 40.2mm and is adorned with a smokey, gradated "Shiracha" colored dial. The hue, previously esteemed in the Edo period, features a delicately textured surface reminiscent of soft Japanese silk. Simultaneously, its domed dial, contoured hands and indices, along with a bronze-plated case featuring knurled edges and a highly durable coating, combine vintage aesthetics with contemporary resilience.
This timepiece signifies the Classic Series' inaugural use of a brown calf-leather strap, constructed from ethically sourced, repurposed luxury shoe remnants and lined with the original high-quality shoe lining. The Seiko in-house 6R55 caliber ensures a daily precision of –15/+25 seconds and features a power reserve of 72 hours.
