The collaboration, initiated as part of the brand's countdown to its 50th anniversary, merges the precision of Swiss watchmaking with the Parisian designer's sardonic and clever aesthetic. I

Inspired by the childhood game "Simon Says," this novelty item evolves into a horological "Raymond Says," encouraging wearers to both adhere to and challenge the conventions of elegance. This innovative conversation revitalises a timeless silhouette originally presented by Raymond Weil more than forty years ago.

The limited-edition reference 2280 features a dual-zone anthracite dial that artfully explores themes of concealment and revelation. The left side exhibits a matte opaline finish adorned with ethereal embellishments, complemented by a yellow text at 9 o’clock stating: “Dress shirt cuff should cover at least half of the watch.” Conversely, the right side displays refined markers and sunburst reflections, including inscriptions arranged vertically for a nuanced typographic variation. The caseback maintains the idea of propriety with an engraved directive: “Never wind your watch while wearing it.” Remove it initially, then coil it in a theatrical manner. These comedic interventions underscore André's capacity to mock tradition while preserving sophistication.
