The strikingly monochromatic timepiece highlights artisanal craftsmanship, while expanded dial and movement décor options elevate the Kaliber 1’s visual appeal.

German independent watchmaker Stefan Kudoke enhances the HANDwerk series with the Kudoke 3 Nocturne, preserving the fundamental concept but altering its manifestation, akin to the Nocturne version of the Kudoke 2. This new variant is an extension of the Kudoke 3, which was previously offered in other versions, including Sky Blue, salmon, and the Flakes edition featuring a hand-engraved top dial. The Nocturne presents a more sombre, introspective style, complemented by a unique engraving method on the movement and a novel finish for the series casing.
The Kudoke 3 Nocturne is exclusively available in matte sandblasted stainless steel. The treatment diminishes reflections and imparts a serene presence to the 39mm case, enhancing the dial's darker hues. This finish is currently exclusive to the Nocturne. The onion crown persists, and the water resistance is 50 meters.
The Kudoke 3's atypical time display is preserved. Minutes are displayed on the upper dial ring, whereas hours are represented on a lower, three-segment scale. A tri-pronged hour hand traverses between the two dial levels, alternating pointers as it advances. At specific intervals (2, 6, and 10 o’clock), two arms emerge concurrently in a whimsical rotation. The Nocturne's aesthetic and ambiance are novel, however. The galvanic black upper dial is positioned over a frosted base dial and components finished with black gold. Printing is performed in silver rather than white. Polished steel hands substitute the blued hands of the regular models, preserving a monochrome aesthetic. The dark dial is not unique to the Nocturne and is currently available as a standard option for the Kudoke 3.

The watch is powered by the well-known Kaliber 1, a hand-wound calibre operating at 28,800 vibrations per hour, including a 46-hour power reserve, designed in collaboration with Habring² and finished internally. The exclusive Nocturne edition includes a rhodium-plated movement adorned with the “Flakes” inscription. Rather of employing floral designs, the Flakes engraving is achieved by meticulously removing minute fragments from the bridge surface, resulting in a delicately structured, lustrous texture. This finish is now offered as an option throughout the HANDwerk line for an additional fee of EUR 2,990 excluding VAT. Additionally, observe the hand-engraved balance cock with Kudoke’s infinite symbol, the inscription indicating the limited edition, and the customary finishing throughout, all observable through the sapphire caseback. The timepiece is affixed to a suede leather strap secured by a matte sandblasted stainless steel pin buckle. The Kudoke 3 Nocturne is a limited edition of 20 units, priced at EUR 12,574 excluding VAT. Kindly visit kudoke.eu for additional details.
