IWC's Laureus timepieces have been accessible for a considerable duration. Throughout the years, the firm has introduced various collections, including Pilot's watches, Portofino models, and several experimental pieces. The enduring elements are the blue dial and the association with Laureus Sport for Good, a worldwide project that aids youth through sports. The new Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Laureus embodies the same concept, now as a limited edition of 1,000 units and included in IWC's 2026 releases. This year, the emphasis is on Futbalo Girls, a football initiative in Germany designed to enhance female involvement in the sport.

The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Laureus adheres to the conventional larger format of the Pilot’s Chronograph. The timepiece features a 43mm stainless steel case with a thickness of 14.8mm, accompanied by a five-link stainless steel bracelet that incorporates IWC’s EasX-CHANGE technology for rapid strap modifications. Similar to previous Laureus versions, the dial features the distinctive sunray-brushed blue characteristic of the series. This features silver-plated subdials and rhodium-plated hands, ensuring a clear arrangement for efficient timekeeping. The chronograph totalisers are positioned at 12 and 9 o’clock, the little seconds indicator is located at the bottom, and the day-date display is situated at 3 o’clock. The white Arabic numerals and bright hands enhance overall legibility while maintaining a simple dial design. The Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Laureus houses the IWC-manufactured calibre 69385, an automated chronograph featuring a column-wheel mechanism. It operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour (4Hz) and has a power reserve of 46 hours. The chronograph records elapsed hours, minutes, and seconds, with the minutes positioned at 12 o’clock for enhanced readability. It also has hacking seconds, facilitating accurate time adjustment. The movement's finishing, visible through the sapphire caseback, features circular graining and Geneva stripes.

Additional features comprise a screw-down crown, a convex sapphire crystal with anti-reflective treatment on both surfaces, and a design intended to maintain the glass's integrity despite fluctuations in air pressure. The water resistance is rated at 100 meters, and the steel caseback ring is inscribed with the Laureus Foundation's name, linking it to the endeavour. The IWC Pilot’s Watch Chronograph Laureus (Reference IW378010) is available for EUR 9,800 or USD 9,600. For additional information, please visit iwc.com.
