The California-based nonprofit is an international entity dedicated to empowerment, providing young girls with confidence, leadership abilities, and the fortitude to determine their own destinies.

Global Girls Glow, a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit, supports girls globally to develop into influential advocates and empathetic leaders. The organization offers mentorship, community, and resources for girls through mentor-led GLOW Clubs in over 30 countries, including the U.S., Peru, Uganda, Nepal, Ghana, and the Philippines. Since its inception, Global Girls Glow has empowered over 100,000 girls to achieve three transformative objectives: enhance their confidence, amplify their voice, and cultivate their power.

Within the Global Girls Glow Movement

Each GLOW Club established by the Global Girls Glow organization functions as a secure, inclusive environment where girls convene regularly to acquire knowledge, assume leadership roles, and support one another. Participants, under the guidance of experienced local mentors, investigate subjects such as self-esteem, goal-setting, education, and advocacy within a social-emotional learning (SEL) framework.

In addition to dialogue, girls are urged to engage in the creation of advocacy and community initiatives that tackle the issues most pertinent to them. Each GLOW Club encourages girls to effect change in their communities by addressing obstacles such as early marriage, gender-based violence, access to education, bullying, and representation in leadership.

Enhancing Global Voices

This year signifies a significant milestone for Global Girls Glow with the publication of its inaugural anthology, Voices for Impact: How to Unapologetically Share Your Message With Courage, Clarity and Compassion, which rapidly ascended to Amazon best-seller status.

This spring, the book presents articles from young authors and international thought leaders, including Anu Jain, Dr. Michele Goodwin, Jeanine Mason, Meera Gandhi, Laura Probst, and founder Kylie Schuyler, each recounting narratives of resilience, purpose, and activism. Collectively, they exemplify the organization's fundamental conviction: that when girls discover their voice, they attain their power.

“Girls possess the capacity to transform the world,” asserts Crystal Sprague, Executive Director of Global Girls Glow. This book celebrates the unexploited potential of girls and their capacity to effect change with bravery, lucidity, and empathy.

All proceeds from Voices for Impact directly fund the nonprofit's mentorship programs, guaranteeing that additional girls can access the opportunities that inspired these narratives.

Girls First: A Continuous Support Initiative

Coinciding with International Day of the Girl (October 11), Global Girls Glow has recently inaugurated its Girls First Monthly Giving campaign, an uncomplicated yet impactful initiative enabling supporters to consistently advocate for girls on a monthly basis.

For about $17 per month, contributors can sponsor a complete year of mentorship for a girl, facilitating her acquisition of leadership and advocacy skills via her local GLOW Club. Monthly sponsors become part of a founding circle that drives sustainable growth for the organization’s increasing global network.

Where Advocacy Converges with Action Global Girls Glow actualizes its purpose through vibrant public events, panels, and youth-led discussions that encourage community engagement with contemporary issues affecting girls and women.

Key features comprise a Voices for Impact discussion at the L’Oréal ProLAB in El Segundo, California, and an East Coast speaking tour with engagements in New York and Washington, D.C., including a partnership with the Georgetown Law Journal of Gender and the Law, where youth advocates facilitated a compelling dialogue on legal advocacy, systemic obstacles, and the significance of agency in fostering equitable change.

The Future Is Promising

As Global Girls Glow broadens its influence and enhances girl-led advocacy globally, its message remains unwavering: when girls are afforded the opportunity to lead, they not only transform their own lives but also the globe. Each GLOW Club embodies a beacon of empowerment that transcends borders, driven by courage, compassion, and a shared conviction in the potential of girls.
