The latest iteration brings a subdued color story to its distinctive multi-axis time display.

Following its recent resurgence under the MELB Group, which also owns Moser and Agenhor, Hautlence has concentrated on innovative time display through mechanical animation rather than conventional indicators. The Sphere, launched in 2022, rapidly established itself as the brand's hallmark series, integrating a multi-axis spherical jumping hour with a retrograde minute display. The Sphere Series 4 employs the more compact and streamlined architecture of the Series 3 (2025), now featuring a warmer, more organic look. The case maintains the established dimensions of the revised Sphere generation. Constructed from Grade 5 titanium, it has dimensions of 37mm by 45mm and a total height of 17.4mm, or 11.5mm when subtracting the protruding sapphire crystal. The rectangular, television-shaped profile is distinctly defined, featuring alternating satin-brushed and polished surfaces. The water resistance is 100 meters.

The dial is entirely skeletonised, exposing a stratified structure where bridges and gear trains are hung within the case. The primary progression is in the colour palette, transitioning to olive green and sand hues to imply mineral and natural textures. The circular jumping hour on the left remains the centrepiece. Constructed from titanium with a sandblasted finish, the sphere revolves on three axes via a system of bevel gears positioned on intersecting axes inclined at 21 degrees.

The display continuously evolves, presenting the time through a regulated and dynamic sequence. The retrograde minute display on the right traverses a 180-degree arc along a hanging track. The hand moves across the scale before swiftly returning at the hour's apex. This swift rebound, exact and visually captivating, constitutes one of Hautlence's hallmark technical attributes. The watch is powered by the proprietary hand-wound calibre A82. Functioning at 21,600 vibrations per hour, it provides a 72-hour power reserve. The skeletonised construction reveals the barrel and ratchet. A safety feature is incorporated to avert erroneous manipulation during time-setting.

The Sphere Series 4 is affixed on an olive-green suede strap secured by a titanium folding clasp. It is issued as a limited edition of 28 units, priced at CHF 74,600 (taxes excluded). For additional information, kindly visit Hautlence.com.
