Forbes has published its most recent list of the world's richest individuals as of June 1, 2025, with Elon Musk regaining the leading position.

Elon Musk (Tesla, SpaceX, xAI, X) possesses a net worth of $423 billion.

Mark Zuckerberg (Meta) follows him with $224 billion, and Jeff Bezos (Amazon) with $220 billion.

Larry Ellison (Oracle) possesses $206 billion, Warren Buffett (Berkshire Hathaway) has $158 billion, and Bernard Arnault (LVMH) amounts to $144 billion.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin possess $142 billion and $136 billion, respectively.

Steve Ballmer (Microsoft, LA Clippers, investments) has a net worth of $133 billion, surpassing Amancio Ortega (Inditex/Zara) who possesses $124 billion.

The CEO of Tesla and SpaceX currently possesses an estimated net worth of $423 billion, after a significant growth of $36 billion in May alone.

Forbes reports that Musk's fortune increase was propelled by a 23% spike in Tesla shares, catalyzed by the announcement of the forthcoming robotaxi launch and his exit from a prominent government advisory position.

Forbes observed that this amalgamation "solidified Musk's position as the unequivocal wealthiest individual globally."

Mark Zuckerberg ascended to second position with a net worth of $224 billion, surpassing Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, who now occupies third place with $220 billion.

Zuckerberg's ascent was propelled by an 18% increase in Meta's share price, whereas Bezos had a $19 billion boost coinciding with an 11% rise in Amazon's shares.

The top 10 list indicates a robust month for technology billionaires, as stock markets recovered from April's fluctuations.

In May, the Nasdaq and S&P 500 increased by 10% and 6%, respectively, propelled by strong corporate profits, alleviated trade tensions, and a modest rebound in U.S. consumer sentiment.

Larry Ellison holds the fourth position with a net worth of $206 billion, succeeded by Warren Buffett at $158 billion.

Forbes said that Buffett was the largest financial loser this month, with a decline of $9 billion following the announcement of his intention to resign as CEO of Berkshire Hathaway. The conglomerate's shares declined by 5% as a reaction.

French luxury entrepreneur Bernard Arnault, currently ranked sixth with a net worth of $144 billion, experienced a $3 billion decline when LVMH shares fell by 2%.

Google co-founders Larry Page and Sergey Brin ranked seventh and eighth, possessing $142 billion and $136 billion, respectively.

Steve Ballmer, the former CEO of Microsoft, ascended to ninth place with a net worth of $133 billion, surpassing Spanish retail magnate Amancio Ortega, who occupies the tenth position with $124 billion.

Ballmer's fortune surged by $15 billion following a 16% rise in Microsoft's stock value. Conversely, Ortega's wealth had a tiny increase of $600 million, while Inditex shares stayed relatively stable.

The aggregate net worth of the 10 wealthiest individuals globally has reached $1.9 trillion, an increase of $140 billion since early May.
