Bringing experience from Gucci, Cantino will help expand the brand’s positioning beyond fashion into a broader lifestyle vision.

The executive board of Dolce & Gabbana is embarking on a new phase, as Business of Fashion announces the formal appointment of Stefano Cantino as co-CEO. The strategic overhaul signifies a crucial leadership transition for the Italian luxury house, aimed at expediting the company's long-term objective of transforming from a conventional fashion label into a holistic worldwide lifestyle brand.
Collaborating with Alfonso Dolce, who has lately assumed the position of chairman, Cantino contributes decades of substantial industry expertise. The reorganisation occurs subsequent to the resignation of co-founder Stefano Gabbana from the chairmanship in December of the previous year. Before joining the brand, Cantino held the post of CEO at Gucci, from which he departed in September 2025. His comprehensive background encompasses a spell as senior vice president of communications at Louis Vuitton, along with a 22-year career at Prada, where he adeptly managed several tasks in business development, merchandising, marketing, and retail interactions. The organisational reform signifies a continuous endeavour to enhance the brand's commercial presence in the fiercely competitive premium sector. Despite substantial modernisation of the organisational structure, the fundamental aesthetic vision of the house remains intact. The brand has affirmed that Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana will maintain their creative leadership, retaining the unique design language and visual identity that characterise the historic brand.
