Hublot's recent partnership with artist and brand ambassador Daniel Arsham results in the MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire, a limited edition that succeeds the acclaimed transformable MP-16 Arsham Droplet pocket watch from the previous year.

The timepiece draws influence from the dynamic elegance of water, organic shapes, and transparency, encapsulating Hublot’s Art of Fusion and Arsham’s fictitious archaeology—reinterpreting modern design as if it were excavated from a different epoch. Arsham's inaugural wristwatch design for Hublot materializes in a fluid, sculptural 42 mm case that encases the innovative, compact Meca-10 manual-wind movement.

The sapphire crystal bezel, titanium case, and rubber accents provide a foundation for the watch's signature "splash" motif: an asymmetrical, water-inspired aperture on the dial that reflects the MP-16's droplet theme. The aperture and transparent sapphire caseback allow wearers to view the movement's gear train, while the exposed H-screws and meticulously shaped lugs enhance its technological credentials.

At the core of Arsham's vision is the notion of collapsed time, merging past, present, and future within a singular item. The MP-16 examined this concept through form, while the MP-17 Splash encapsulates the ephemeral nature of time with its fluid case lines, dynamic dial cut-out, and transparent sapphire components. The interaction of visibility and enclosure enables the user to engage with both the accuracy of the Meca-10 caliber and Arsham’s creative philosophy in real time.

Notwithstanding its innovative silhouette, the MP-17 preserves quintessential Hublot characteristics: six H-screws on the bezel and case back, a distinctive H-shaped titanium clasp, and harmonious green accents on the hands, markers, and power-reserve indicator. The MP-17 Meca-10 Arsham Splash Titanium Sapphire is available just at Hublot boutiques and authorized merchants, priced at $69,000 USD, with a limited production of 99 pieces.
