Converse has unveiled a new rendition of their badminton heritage for 2026, the Jack Purcell 1935 Loafer, expanding upon the sneaker-loafer trend that gained prominence last year. The design honours the 90-year legacy of the Jack Purcell line by enhancing its look with premium leather and hand-stitched embellishments reminiscent of formal shoes. Presented in an elegant, monochromatic black, the colour scheme accentuates a refined silhouette that showcases the distinctive “smile” toe and the “mustache” on the saddle. The interior features a breathable canvas lining that preserves a soft texture, affirming the shoe's distinctive identity in this elegant design.
This flagship model prioritises functionality, with a newly designed anatomical last for an accurate fit. An Ortholite insole, a 13mm polyurethane wedge heel, and a fibre shank offer exceptional cushioning and arch support for everyday use. The Jack Purcell 1935 Loafer effectively converts a classic sports essential into a versatile, refined emblem.
