Audemars Piguet has launched its new Manufacture du Brassus, referred to as the Arc, in celebration of the brand's 150th anniversary. The 23,700 square-meter facility, situated in the Vallée de Joux, consolidates production teams under one roof, reinforcing the company's dedication to the region where it has operated since 1875. The Minergie-ECO® certified facility, engineered for flexibility, comfort, and sustainability, embodies Audemars Piguet’s long-term objectives by integrating advanced technology with ecological stewardship to advance the brand's future.

The Arc was designed as a collaborative centre, reflecting the brand’s traditional Établissage structure that depended on networks of artisans and workshops. The project, designed by Geneva-based de Giuli & Portier and constructed by Alpenda SA, was finalised in a mere three years. The new production facility accommodates up to 700 personnel in a workspace characterised by natural light and open-plan concepts. The 321-meter-long glass façade incorporates electrochromic technology that autonomously modifies its hue according to light intensity and temperature for optimal comfort. The layout fosters a harmonious blend of work styles, featuring transparent partitions and conference spaces to facilitate idea exchange, in addition to designated quiet areas and conventional offices for jobs necessitating privacy and concentrated focus.

Rooted in heritage and forward-looking, the Manufacture du Brassus is prepared to augment production capacity and preserve local expertise. Automated technologies optimise workflows, allowing employees to concentrate on tasks that necessitate skill and artistry. Through the centralisation of operations and investment in sustainable infrastructure, Audemars Piguet fortifies its position as a custodian of Swiss watchmaking expertise and a benefactor to the economic and communal vitality of the Vallée de Joux. The Arc represents a significant milestone in the Maison's development, merging tradition with innovation to define the future of Haute Horlogerie.
