The independent brand Akhor, located in Geneva, unveiled its first Le Temps en Équilibre line in 2025, featuring a revolutionary dual-disc display technology, which garnered immediate acclaim for its novel dial design and proprietary movement. The new Lumière Blanche editions broaden the notion with a novel artistic direction, positioning white as the primary design feature.

The latest Akhor Lumière Blanche Editions are contained within the sophisticated 39mm cushion-shaped casing emblematic of the brand. Constructed from 4N or 5N gold, the case has a thickness of 11mm and showcases alternate polished and satin finishes to highlight its contours. A sapphire crystal on both the front and back showcases the stratified dial design and the mechanism. The Lumière Blanche timepieces maintain the collection's characteristic dual-disc dial architecture, featuring an upper plate elevated above the lower disc. This innovative design establishes a gap between the two components, facilitating hand movement beneath the upper plate. In these white renditions, the principle is further elucidated, endowing the dial with the structural semblance of a machine rather than merely a decorative facade.

Two versions are available. The initial model showcases a white sunburst dial, adorned with numerals at cardinal places, along with rhodium- or gold-plated stick indices and hands. The second features a more technological appearance with a white honeycomb dial. This variant includes a diamond-encrusted bezel and clasp, providing a more jewelry-focused interpretation. The timepiece is driven by the manual-winding calibre AK10, created solely for Akhor and produced by Clamax. The COSC-certified movement, with a diameter of 31.3mm and a thickness of 3.9mm, functions at 28,800 vibrations per hour and provides a 60-hour power reserve from a single barrel. The movement consists of 117 components, incorporating a variable inertia balance and a stop-seconds mechanism. The finishing process encompasses hand-applied anglage, fan-shaped Côtes de Genève, and embellished wheels. The unique screw heads replicate the cushion profile of the casing.

Both Lumière Blanche models include a hand-stitched white alligator strap, fastened with a folding clasp that corresponds with the case material. The prices are CHF 57,800 and CHF 67,800 (with diamonds), inclusive of taxes. For additional information, please visit akhor.ch.
