With refined gingham fabrics and a deliberately tilted NY emblem, the collaboration brings a sartorial edge to everyday headwear.

New Era and JOURNAL STANDARD have formally rejoined to launch a new range of 9FORTY caps for Spring/Summer 2026. The recent collaboration enhances the classic headgear design by replacing conventional materials with high-quality gingham check shirting textiles.

The pair showcases two unique versions of the baseball cap, both crafted from esteemed European fabrics. The black-and-white colour scheme is made from fabric produced by SOKTAS, a luxury shirt fabric producer established in Soke, Turkey, in 1971. In contrast, the white-and-red model utilises fabric from Mileta, a renowned textile manufacturer founded in 1949 in the Podkrkonoší district of the Czech Republic. The caps, constructed on the 9FORTY silhouette, exhibit a deeper fit, a curved visor, and an innovative core within the front panel to preserve a structured, classic form.

A distinctive design feature is the whimsical alteration of the New York Yankees emblem. The front panels display a NY logo rotated 25 degrees clockwise. To obtain MLB approval for this atypical design, a small, standard-angle NY logo is embroidered on the back of the cap.
