With a roster of collaborators, Karl Hab’s anniversary edition offers a nuanced study of life across Los Angeles.

Photographer Karl Hab is commemorating a significant milestone with the release of the 24H Los Angeles – 10 Year Anniversary Edition. Ten years post its initial publication, this enhanced edition encapsulates the city's distinctive cadence from dawn to dusk, merging terrestrial viewpoints with expansive aerial vistas to convey the essence of Los Angeles. The redesigned hardcover volume includes previously unpublished images, rare new material, and personal experiences collected during years of exploration from dawn to midnight. The 180-page, one-kilogram volume provides a novel and intimate perspective of the city, serving as both an homage to Los Angeles and a commemoration of the photography that initiated it all.
24H
Karl Hab encouraged prominent figures from Los Angeles' artistic community to articulate their interpretations on the city's significance, so enhancing the project beyond a mere visual experience. The book has contributions from artist Alex Israel, respected tattoo artist Dr. Woo, photographer Shaniqwa Jarvis, entrepreneur and cultural influencer Chris Gibbs of Union Los Angeles, master trainer Kirsty Godso, and iconic helicopter pilot Fred North. Their collective viewpoints convert the magazine into an extensive depiction influenced by the individuals who inhabit, produce, and navigate the metropolis. The 24H Los Angeles – 10 Year Anniversary Edition is currently available for pre-order at 24Hbooks.com, with the inaugural edition set to be published in 2026.
