US Beauty Award has announced its High-Level Jury Panel, bringing together specialists across artistry, hospitality, customer psychology, brand strategy and salon operations to support an independent and professional evaluation framework.

Building Trust Through Professional Evaluation

As the beauty industry continues to expand, consumers face an increasingly crowded landscape of salons, service providers and industry recognitions. For the US Beauty Award, meaningful recognition must be based on demonstrated quality rather than commercial influence or financial participation.

The award was established around an evaluation philosophy centered on professional standards, transparency and impartiality. Its assessment framework considers not only technical craftsmanship, but also the environment, service experience, customer care, operational practices and safety standards that collectively shape the quality of a beauty establishment.

With the announcement of its High-Level Jury Panel, the US Beauty Award is further defining the expertise behind that evaluation process.

Three Specialized Councils Bring Different Perspectives

Rather than placing evaluation responsibility with a single panel, the US Beauty Award has structured its jury across three specialized councils, each examining a different dimension of the beauty experience.

  • The Artistry & Creative Council focuses on technical execution, craftsmanship and creative direction. Nail Art Creative Director Elena Rossi evaluates aesthetic precision and creativity, while luxury salon space design expert Marcus Thorne examines how salon environments combine visual design with client comfort.

  • The Hospitality & Service Excellence Council evaluates the customer journey. Five-star service training expert Sarah Jenkins and customer psychology specialist Dr. Julian Vance assess areas including client care, communication, situational handling and professional service across key customer touchpoints.

  • Completing the framework, the Business & Brand Strategy Council considers the foundations behind sustainable salon development. Beauty brand strategist Victoria Nguyen and salon operations consultant Robert Sterling focus on management practices, operational capability, and health and safety compliance.

A Non-Commercial Approach to Recognition

A central principle of the US Beauty Award is its commitment to not accepting commercial sponsorship from participating entities. According to the organization, titles cannot be purchased and evaluations are intended to reflect actual service quality and professional capability.

The assessment process incorporates defined evaluation criteria alongside anonymous Mystery Shopper reviews, allowing services to be experienced from the perspective of an ordinary client.

By separating recognition from sponsorship, the US Beauty Award aims to preserve the credibility of its certifications while giving beauty professionals a benchmark for evaluating and improving their own standards.

Raising Standards Across the Beauty Industry

The High-Level Jury Panel forms part of the US Beauty Award's broader vision to develop a reference framework for quality within the beauty industry. Through professional evaluation, the organization seeks to encourage salons and artists to continually improve craftsmanship, hygiene, service quality and the overall customer experience.

For consumers, the initiative is intended to provide an additional reference when researching beauty establishments and services. For industry professionals, it creates a framework through which quality, consistency and continued development can be recognized.
