Monaco-born restaurateur Riccardio Giraudi inaugurates his third Beefbar this year, which is undoubtedly the most opulent of his global concept establishments.

Minimalist design is currently quite popular. While we reintroduce extravagant old styles, a minimalist approach invariably emerges to enhance these contemporary renditions. Nonetheless, we continue to admire artistic expressions from history. There exists a profound and lasting admiration for the restoration and preservation of historical art, monuments, and locations, as they provide insights into the past.
European restaurateur Riccardo Giraudi's Beefbar, the third establishment launched in 2018, features interiors that harmoniously blend 19th-century architecture with contemporary industrial design. The latest iteration, following two previous debuts in Dubai and Mykonos this year, is situated in Paris within the restored Lamgham Hotel, established in 1898.

Beefbar Paris: Revitalizing a Century-Old Edifice
The design project was executed by Emil Humbert and Christophe Poyet of the Monaco-based architectural firm Humbert & Poyet. The partnership, previously contracted to develop editions in Hong Kong, Mexico, and Monaco, pushed the limits of a neglected area that had been sealed off during World War II, which was serendipitously uncovered and designated a historical monument in 1983, only to be abandoned once again thereafter.

A minor deviation from the "refined simplicity" principle of its forerunners, the resultant fusion of styles is remarkably sophisticated and thoughtfully conventional. Art Nouveau features, including distinctive pastel green hues, decorative carpeting, and elaborate frescoes, were meticulously restored, while Art Deco components such as marble, etched staff walls, faceted mirrors, lacquered walnut, and brass fittings were conserved. The historic characteristics were contrasted with industrial-style minimalism woodwork and ceiling.

The vibrant colors and sophisticated furnishings provided an appropriate contemporary interpretation to rejuvenate a century-old landmark. In proximity to the Eiffel Tower, Giraudi delivers another audacious declaration with this Paris edition.

Beefbar has garnered popularity among carnivores since the inauguration of its initial restaurant in Monte Carlo in 2015. In 2016, Beefbar Hong Kong was awarded its inaugural Michelin star in the 2017 Hong Kong & Macau Michelin guide. The Paris installment is an impressive enhancement to the collection.
