This month, Henry Holland Studio has launched its inaugural furniture line, signifying a significant new phase for the designer's handcrafted ceramics and homeware firm. Showcased at the Mount Street Neighbourhood Arts Festival, the five-piece collection features sculptural forms and whimsical graphic elements, all while upholding the studio's signature painstaking craftsmanship. Crafted and meticulously assembled in the UK, the collection comprises a coffee table, side table, console, chair, and pouffe, with each item embodying Holland's dynamic creative vision.

The collection effectively expands the limits of the studio's distinctive design, characterized by sculptural forms, graphic whimsy, and precise craftsmanship. The material selection is opulent and tactile, combining patinated bronze, luxurious mohair, and glazed earthenware. The series draws design inspiration from both the Brutalist and Post-Modern movements, fundamentally celebrating the poetic flaws of craftsmanship. This philosophy is encapsulated in the studio's slogan of "embracing the wobble," manifested through material forms such as deliberate metal bends, marbled ceramic spheres, and distinctive pebble-shaped cast feet.

Prominent features encompass the Nimbo Coffee Table, characterized by hand-forged bronze legs, a patina-finished surface, and suspended ceramic spheres, alongside the Cumulus Chair, which combines a bronze framework with mohair upholstery and cast bronze pebble feet. The Stratus Console Table accentuates the collection's sculptural essence, featuring an uneven bronze top upheld by twisted bronze legs interspersed with the studio's distinctive nerikomi ceramic spheres in terracotta and white. Each item is custom-made, highlighting the tailored essence of the collection and the studio's commitment to artisanal craftsmanship.
