British celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay, acclaimed for his television shows on competitive cooking and gastronomy, is scheduled to earn a plaque on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.

Gordon Ramsay, the Scottish chef, restaurateur, and television personality, is scheduled to earn a plaque on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year. Raised in Scotland, Ramsay aspired to become a professional soccer player; however, following a significant knee injury, he redirected his ambitions towards a culinary career at the age of 58.

As an ambitious chef, Ramsay trained under prominent restaurateurs such as Marco Pierre White, Guy Savoy, and Joel Robuchon before obtaining his inaugural head chef role at La Tante Claire restaurant (subsequently renamed Aubergine) in Chelsea, London, under Michelin-star chef Pierre Koffmann.

In 1998, on what the chef deems “the most significant day of [his] entire culinary career,” Ramsay terminated his association with Aubergine to establish his own restaurant - Restaurant Gordon Ramsay. Situated in London, the restaurant received its third Michelin star by 2001. A decade later, it continued to be regarded as one of the premier restaurants in the UK, as per “The Good Food Guide.”

Since that time, Ramsay has established numerous restaurants worldwide and has been in culinary reality television programs such as “Hell’s Kitchen,” “Kitchen Nightmares,” “MasterChef,” “Secret Service,” among others. His prolific reputation and passionate demeanor have established him as one of the most successful celebrity chefs globally, as he is set to receive his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.

Here is the complete list of celebrities in the Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026.

On Wednesday, July 2, The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce announced that Ramsay would be awarded a prestigious star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame as part of the "Hollywood Walk of Fame Class of 2026," which includes 35 superstars.

Carlo Ramboldi and Tony Scott will both be awarded posthumous stars later this year.

Television luminaries such as Greg Daniels, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Lucero, Melody Thomas Scott, Robin Roberts, George Stephanopoulos, Bradley Whitford, and Noah Wyle will be similarly commemorated on the Hollywood Walk of Fame next year.

Musicians such as Air Supply, Bone Thugs ‘N Harmony, Paulinho Da Costa, The Clark Sisters, Miley Cyrus, Josh Groban, Grupo Intocable, Angelique Kidjo, and Lyle Lovett will join the “Class of 2026,” alongside Broadway star Lea Salonga, comedian Gabriel Iglesias, and former NBA player Shaquille O’Neal.

In response to the Class of 2026 announcement, Peter Roth, former CEO of Warner Bros Television and chairman of the Walk of Fame selection committee, stated: “These talented individuals have made significant contributions to the world of entertainment, and we are delighted to honor them with this well-deserved recognition.”

The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce has not yet announced the date for the star ceremonies for the Class of 2026.

Ramsay Attains Status as the Fifth Celebrity Chef to Earn a Star

The current announcement designates Gordon Ramsay as the fifth celebrity chef to be awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Bobby Flay, a Food Network celebrity chef, was the inaugural recipient of this award when his star was unveiled in 2015. Two years later, James Beard Award-winning chef Wolfgang Puck, renowned for his celebrity clientele, commemorated the unveiling of his star on the legendary LA strip.
