Blancpain introduced 16 new Villeret references spanning three new models, all reflecting a "Golden Hour" design.

Blancpain has introduced the Villeret “Golden Hour” chapter, showcasing three reimagined iconic models across 16 new references, underlining the line's twin legacy of mechanical superiority and design simplicity. The three principal types consist of a 40mm automatic three-hand variant including a date function, a 40mm complete calendar with a moon phase, and a 33.20mm moon phase calendar. The line is offered in 18-carat red gold or stainless steel casings, featuring new, striking fall dial colors. New dials have a meticulously textured opaline variant in addition to a golden-brown sunburst, while replaceable straps in brown, blue-grey, honey, and beige nubuck velvet utilize a quick-change mechanism and a soft barolo finish that will acquire a natural patina over time.

A discreetly reimagined case enhances proportions with a narrower bezel, reduced profile, expanded crown, and reconfigured lugs to elevate elegance, comfort, and ergonomics. The indexes and hands have been updated: Roman numerals are rendered in 18-carat gold with satin-brushed surfaces and polished edges, the conventional “12” has been substituted with the JB signature, and the slim hands now include luminous inlays for enhanced visibility in low light. The date window at 3 o’clock has been expanded for enhanced visual harmony, and all moon phase models feature a larger aperture that amplifies depth and prominence.

Blancpain enhances the moonphase with a ceramic disk and a domed, satin-finished 18-carat gold moon with the Maison’s distinctive face, therefore maintaining the poetic heritage of its lunar complexities. Complete calendars incorporate patented under-lug correctors (2005), enabling secure, push-button modification of calendar displays, although the smaller 33.20 mm models maintain conventional caseband correctors.

The movements are automatic in-house calibers refined to Haute Horlogerie standards, with Côtes de Genève and beveling. Blancpain now incorporates a new open-worked oscillating weight in red or yellow gold, adorned with polished bevels to showcase and honor the movement's embellishments. Technical and service enhancements follow the aesthetic transformation: all movements are protected and now include a five-year warranty, emphasizing Blancpain’s dedication to mechanical superiority.
