Bentley has introduced one of its most complex paint finishes to date, Ombre by Mulliner, at Monterey Car Week during The Quail, A Motorsports Gathering. The hand-painted technique makes its premiere on a Continental GT Speed and will now be available through Bentley's global retail network.

The Ombre process produces a continuous gradient between two colors on the car's exterior, necessitating more than 56 hours of expert craftsmanship by Mulliner craftsmen at Bentley's Dream Factory in Crewe. Every commission is distinct, since artists must respond to the real-time interplay of various pigments to attain a seamless transition.

This initial sample transitions from Topaz in the front to Windsor Blue at the rear, with the gradient line contouring along the GT’s robust curves. The 22-inch wheels correspond to the two-tone finish. The interior features a gradient: Topaz hides adorn the front seats, steering wheel, and instrument panel, transitioning to darker Beluga leather in the rear, complemented by Dragonfly stitching accents for an elegant finish.

Mulliner, Bentley's custom division, will provide the Ombre scheme in three meticulously selected color combinations to guarantee continuity and harmony. Clients can enhance interior customization via Mulliner’s Bespoke Studio, offering choices from contrasting leathers to selected veneers. Bentley characterizes Ombre as a synthesis of artistic expression and meticulous engineering, illustrating how painting can function as both a medium for design and a declaration of identity.
