A modern echo of the TT and R8, the production-bound roadster is expected to share its core platform with the future all-electric Porsche 718 — performance, recharged.

Audi is officially preparing for a daring new phase of high-performance electric vehicles. After its impressive unveiling at the IAA Mobility show in Munich in September, Audi CEO Gernot Döllner has announced that the innovative Concept C sports vehicle is set for production. Döllner dispelled previous speculation about the possible termination of the brand's electric sports car initiative, confirming that a production model of the Concept C will be launched within the next two years. The all-electric two-seater is anticipated to be a genuine spiritual successor to the iconic Audi TT and R8, constructed on a revolutionary central-battery architecture that will be closely aligned with the forthcoming fully-electric Porsche 718, guaranteeing dynamic rear-wheel-drive performance and balanced handling.

The Concept C signifies a pivotal moment for the German carmaker, epitomising Chief Creative Officer Massimo Frascella’s "strive for clarity" design philosophy. The elegant roadster features athletic, monolithic dimensions, measuring 4,520 mm in length and 1,970 mm in width. The remarkable exterior design elegantly honours the brand’s legacy with a prominent vertical front frame inspired by the 1936 Auto Union Type C, while incorporating contemporary features such as a unique four-element light signature and a pioneering electrically retractable hardtop—an industry first for an Audi roadster.
The Concept C interior prioritises a distraction-free, driver-centric atmosphere that integrates advanced technology with emotional resonance. The simple cabin has a 10.4-inch retractable display that remains entirely concealed until used, enabling the driver to concentrate solely on the road. Robust, tactile aluminium haptic controls provide the distinctive mechanical “Audi click,” complemented by an elegant combination of tone-on-tone natural materials, enhancing the refined ambiance. Although the pricing and performance details are not yet disclosed, the eagerly awaited production variant of the Audi Concept C is projected to debut in the market by 2027.
