Apple is preparing to expand its smart home ecosystem with a special event scheduled for October 13, 2026. The announcement came through a teaser shared by Greg Joswiak, Apple's Senior Vice President of Worldwide Marketing, introducing the tagline “Welcome home.”

The company has invited selected media representatives to an exclusive Apple Experience in Tribeca, New York, beginning at 9 a.m. ET. Unlike Apple's traditional product keynotes, the event is expected to focus on hands-on demonstrations, although the company has yet to confirm whether a livestream will be available.

Among the anticipated announcements is a new smart home hub, reportedly known as HomePad, designed to serve as a central interface for connected devices. The product is rumored to feature a touchscreen display and enhanced Siri integration, potentially marking a significant step in Apple's ambitions for the connected home.

Apple is also expected to introduce an updated HomePod mini and Apple TV 4K, alongside a range of smart home accessories reportedly developed in collaboration with LG. These could include a smart doorbell, connected lock and thermostat, although none of these products has been officially confirmed.

With its October 13 presentation approaching, Apple appears poised to strengthen its position in the smart home market. Further details on product specifications, pricing and availability are expected following the announcement.
