Building on the launch of its Quincy Icon collection, which celebrated renowned producer and composer Quincy Jones, MAYBACH Icons of Luxury re-establishes its association with the music industry through a worldwide eyewear collaboration with multi-platinum Indian rapper Badshah.



The inaugural collaboration between a South Asian creative and the premium design business signifies a pivotal moment for MAYBACH and Badshah, who is now experiencing a global rise following his North America tour.



CEOs Jutta Kahlbetzer and Wolfgang Thelen stated, “We are, for the first time, seamlessly merging MAYBACH’s illustrious heritage with the unique artistic expression of Badshah, reinterpreting modern luxury through the perspectives of diversity and inclusivity.” By collaborating with a visionary architect such as Badshah, MAYBACH Eyewear not only connects with the vibrant Indian market but also pays tribute to the country's rich cultural tapestry.



This amalgamation of profound legacy and unique artistic expression is manifested in a capsule collection of five limited-edition optical spectacles and sunglasses, co-designed by the rapper, who was granted "complete creative freedom to infuse my artistic vision into the designs," as he stated. The collection includes MAYBACH’s distinctive THE ARTIST III and THE KING III silhouettes, chosen for their modern aesthetics that align with the rapper’s refined streetwear style and personal fashion sensibilities.

Regarding the rimless THE ARTIST III by Badshah features a musically inspired design characterised by curving titanium structures on the temple that emulate sound waves. This edition is available in two vivid colourways: “Electric Yellow” and “Deep Blue.”



Additionally, the KING III aviator series pays tribute to India's geography with a "Camouflage" model, a Himalayas-inspired "Snow Camouflage" variant, and a "Tigers of India" model, which, as indicated by its name, is inspired by the nation's national animal. The KING III collection includes a limited-edition pair of glasses adorned with 90 diamonds, released in an exclusive run of only five units.



In an official statement regarding the capsule, Badshah remarked, “Creating eyewear that was both aesthetically pleasing and comfortable—achieving an optimal equilibrium between form and function—presented a distinct challenge during the design process, yet it greatly enriched my overall experience.” This relationship is unique, and I am profoundly appreciative to participate in this historic occasion.
