The French fashion label has announced its audacious architectural debut, Maison Margiela Residences, a custom residential project in partnership with Alta Real Estate Development on Dubai's Palm Jumeirah.

This initiative signifies the transference of Margiela’s avant-garde essence from the runway to the domestic environment. The property comprises 25 premium flats, precisely crafted by Italian architect Carlo Colombo. Each apartment is designed to reflect the brand's preoccupation with materiality, showcasing bespoke, special furnishings such as lights, beds, and tables. The interiors express a "subtle defiance" through distinctive finishes, such as resin-infused surfaces, travertine accents with décortiqué treatment, and optical-white sections that alter light and perception.

OTB Group Chairman Renzo Rosso stated that this represents the initial phase in a broader strategy "to establish the distinctive style of a unique fashion house."
