Acclaimed American artist Lindsey Nobel presents her “Liquidline” series in an imminent immersive art display titled “Into the Invisible.” The showcase, organized by SJArt+ (She&Jul Media), aims to stimulate the senses and provoke visitors' perceptions. Curated by esteemed media producer Julliet Pan, the exhibition will guide attendees on a transformative journey through Nobel’s captivating artworks, which will be showcased alongside the debut of an original musical composition by accomplished composer and Berklee School of Music alumnus, Daniel Grace.

“Into the Invisible,” is comprised of approximately 30 selections from four bodies of work that, together, represent many of her key techniques and formal motifs.

This innovative exhibition, hosted at the Visual Art Centre from 4 March to 10 March, seeks to redefine conventional art presentations by integrating custom musical compositions with Nobel's striking visual works, offering audiences a multi-sensory experience that surpasses the limits of sight and sound. For more than 30 years, Lindsey Nobel has investigated methods to visualize the interconnections among biological organisms and the informational networks that facilitate the expression of life, spanning from the cellular level to the digital infosphere, as seen in her “Liquidline” series.

Utilising a dynamic interplay of diverse mediums, including oil paintings, acrylics, watercolor, coffee, resin, plastic, and bronze, “Into The Invisible” is a series of works that epitomises Nobel’s contemporary artistic style. Her signature syringe pieces feature her innovative “Liquidline” technique which for Nobel, came from a place close to home, “it is from when I lived in a stilt house on top of the ocean in Malibu. I would watch the water and the waves crash and see all the white lines of foam form patterns on top of the ocean,” she explains. Here, Nobel transforms abstract concepts into visually compelling expressions of human connection and technological advancement. Her work masterfully captures the intangible energy that permeates our interactions with technology, the natural world, and the ever-evolving digital landscape.

Nobel’s artistic vision is deeply rooted in the exploration of the invisible connections that bind humans to the vast network of organic and inorganic phenomena that pervade our existence.

“Into the Invisible” will surpass the visual domain with an original musical composition by the accomplished composer Daniel Grace, influenced by Lindsey Nobel’s ethereal artistic approach. The piece will intricately blend classical violin melodies with modern electronic soundscapes, crafting an audio experience that reflects the exhibition's transforming essence. The amalgamation of Lindsey Nobel’s captivating artworks with Daniel Grace’s unique musical composition and a live performance by esteemed Singaporean violinist Jocelyn Ng guarantees an engaging and indelible experience for attendees. This distinctive artistic collaboration seeks to "transport" spectators to a domain where the visible and invisible elegantly converge, reflecting the essence of Nobel's enthralling "Liquidline" series.

Julliet Pan also established SJArt+, which is predicated on the principle that art transcends just visual experience, offering a comprehensive sensory journey that engages the audience on various levels. “Our objective is to create immersive experiences that engage audiences in a realm where each piece narrates a story that resonates visually and emotionally,” she articulates. She asserts her intention to transform SJArt+ into a dynamic center for global artistic interchange, aspiring for it to transcend a mere art space and function as “a catalyst for eliciting profound emotions, provoking thought, and enriching individuals' lives.” Through this endeavor, she seeks to cultivate a community and foster an environment where art serves as a conduit to deeper, more contemplative life experiences.
