K-Pop Icons BIGBANG Announce Massive 31-Date Global Stadium Tour for 20th Anniversary

Marking their highly anticipated return to the global stage since 2017, members G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung are reuniting for a sweeping international concert circuit that spans North America, Europe, Asia, and Australia.

BIGBANG has announced a 31-show global stadium tour to commemorate the group's 20th anniversary, featuring the reunion of G-Dragon, Taeyang, and Daesung for their first tour since 2017. The event commences on August 21 at Goyang Stadium in South Korea and continues until February 28, 2027, spanning Asia, North America, Europe, and Australia. The official tour title and tickets details will be disclosed at a subsequent date, with fans currently able to register for updates through BIGBANG’s b.stage platform.

The tour's magnitude represents the group's commercial influence and the nine years of accumulated demand since their previous complete tour. The North American dates are scheduled for the Oakland-Alameda County Coliseum on September 5 and MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford on September 11, followed by European venues at Stade de France in Paris on September 19 and Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London on September 26. The Asian segment is the tour's most tightly scheduled phase, encompassing Taipei, Singapore, Hanoi, Bangkok, and Hong Kong, followed by an extensive series of performances in Japan, including Osaka, Nagoya, Tokyo, and Fukuoka, from late November to late December. The concluding dates extend into 2027, include stops in Kuala Lumpur, Jakarta, and two last performances in Kaohsiung.

The news follows BIGBANG's performance at Coachella 2026, marking the group's first significant live engagement in years and affirming the need for a comprehensive tour. Forbes lauded their “blistering Coachella set” as “evidence of their unmatched status,” while the Los Angeles Times characterized them as “one of K-pop’s most influential acts” and observed their substantial audience. The Coachella performance served as the proof of concept; the stadium tour is the solution it illustrated.

Two decades post-debut, BIGBANG's status in K-pop history is foundational rather than merely nostalgic. The group facilitated the development of the commercial and cultural infrastructure that enabled K-pop's global proliferation, establishing benchmarks in touring magnitude, fashion integration, and international outreach that influenced subsequent developments. Their 2022 return single “Still Life,” recognized by Billboard as one of the year's premier K-pop tracks, affirmed that their relevancy remained unscathed after their prolonged layoff. A stadium tour of this magnitude — 31 performances across four continents — is not only a legacy act capitalizing on past success, but rather a collective whose cultural significance remains substantial enough to occupy the world's largest venues nine years following their previous tour.
