GEED Opens in Sapporo With a Dedicated Focus on GORE-TEX Innovation
Japan's new specialty store GEED brings technical outerwear, contemporary fashion and interactive experiences to Sapporo, offering a closer look at GORE-TEX technology.

Japanese retail company Beans has opened GEED, a specialty store dedicated exclusively to GORE-TEX products and WINDSTOPPER products by GORE-TEX LABS, in Sapporo, Hokkaido.
The store's name combines the temperature symbol "℃," representing the comfort provided by protective apparel, with the letter "G," referencing GORE-TEX and its performance-driven design philosophy.
Sapporo was selected for its proximity to nature and established outdoor culture, encompassing skiing, snowboarding, trekking and cycling. GEED brings together technical apparel and accessories from outdoor specialists and fashion labels, offering pieces designed for both urban environments and outdoor activities.

Inside, granite fixtures and earthen walls establish a minimalist, tactile interior. An interactive EXPERIENCE ROOM allows visitors to explore GORE-TEX technology through a simulated rainfall booth that demonstrates the material's waterproof and breathable performance. A dedicated laundry area provides guidance on garment maintenance, while an illustrated timeline traces 50 years of GORE-TEX product innovation.
GEED officially opened on October 10, 2026, at Otemachi Building 1F, Minami 1-jo Nishi 4-chome 5, Chuo-ku, Sapporo. The store operates daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
