BAPE Launches Its Inaugural All-White Concept Store and Café at Hong Kong's 1881 Heritage

BAPE has launched a significant retail establishment in Hong Kong, introducing its inaugural all-white concept store and café at the historic 1881 Heritage in Tsim Sha Tsui. This new area represents a significant transformation of the brand's retail identity, deliberately moving away from its conventional, bright camouflage style. The two-story store occupies a prominent location within the main building, seamlessly blending its modern design with the site's colonial grandeur.

The interior design implements a striking transformation, employing an immaculate, minimalist all-white colour scheme throughout both levels. This austere, monochrome style offers a novel, gallery-like setting that deliberately accentuates expensive materials and intricate craftsmanship, enabling BAPE’s vibrant items to stand out. The design, characterised by white marble and superior finishing, effectively juxtaposes BAPE's street heritage with an elegant, upscale architectural concept.

The BAPE CAFE!? on the first level is a distinctive attribute of this Hong Kong establishment. The café, reached by a private white marble staircase, reflects the store's simplicity with a streamlined, minimalist all-white décor that optimises light and space. This initiative is BAPE's inaugural full-service eating concept within a Hong Kong location. Created by FLIPPER’S, a renowned Japanese chain celebrated for its exceptionally fluffy soufflé pancakes, the BAPE CAFE!? provides gourmet coffees, exclusive BAPE-themed dishes, and custom beverages, thereby enhancing the brand's footprint in upscale hospitality and establishing the venue as a cultural landmark.

In celebration of the launch, BAPE unveiled a limited-edition collection exclusive to the 1881 Heritage store, featuring a white theme. The BAPE STORE® 1881 HERITAGE commenced operations on October 25, 2025, with the café scheduled to launch on December 12.
