The NYC-based label Aimé Leon Dore has initiated its inaugural venture into the Middle East with a temporary acquisition of Ounass Stage in Dubai. The six-month retail and hotel environment inaugurates digital luxury retailer Ounass’s new physical concept, showcasing founder Teddy Santis’s meticulously selected vision of contemporary menswear and New York City lifestyle in the region.

The design of the pop-up space reflects the refined built-out experience that has rendered the brand's flagship locations on New York's Mulberry Street and London's Golden Square comparable to cultural hotspots. The custom area is intended to exhibit the extensive realm of Aimé Leon Dore, encompassing its unique product collaborations and associated food-and-beverage enterprises, beyond a typical garment exhibition.

The interior is defined by significant art installations, particularly a distinctive basketball-themed sculpture by artist Tyrrell Winston, similar to those in other venues, complemented with a collection of vintage items that reflect Santis’s appreciation for mid-century design and New York aesthetic. The focal point of the Dubai takeover is the exhibition of a genuine Aimé Leon Dore Porsche 911SC. The car directly acknowledges the brand's enduring tradition of prominent automotive collaborations.

Furthermore, the Dubai location presents the Café Leon Dore concept to the region. The café experience is seamlessly incorporated into the Ounass Stage layout, utilizing a bespoke Café Leon Dore x La Marzocco Linea 2 espresso machine, a consistent element throughout the brand's global flagship environments. The integration of its upscale retail space with its renowned café serves as a model for how contemporary independent brands are transcending conventional brick-and-mortar frameworks to create comprehensive brand ecosystems.
